Thanks to everyone who skipped over to Buxton to see us at Skip's Tavern on Friday, March 12, rather than skipping it and staying home. This venue has one of the best dance floors in Southern Maine, so make sure to skipper your ship over when we play here again on April 30. Pretty good turnout at Thatcher's on Saturday, March 6!! Thanks to everyone who stayed with us right through the very last song, which ended up being a Hurricanes style improvised version of Freebird. We will be back here again on Sunday, March 21st, for a special afternoon matinee benefit performance for Jim Cushman. We really hope you can stop by and join us! The Hurricanes will be hosting a benefit dance for the "Jimmy Fund" Sunday March 21st from 2 to 6 pm at Thatcher's in South Portland. Proceeds are to go towards expenses accrued as the result of the untimely loss of our dear friend and Hurrifan Jim Cushman. A suggested $5 donation per person will be collected at the door on the day of the show. There will be a 50/50 and other prizes raffled off as well as good times and great music. So come out on this Sunday to support a good cause and don't forget to wear your Hurricane shirt as Jim always wore his whenever he came out Dancing with The Hurricanes.
